In march of 2022, Three very nasty men met up in The Hague with a mission: to make the most vile, heinous southern sludge music this side of the Mississippi river. Incorporating the heavy New Orleans sludge sounds, they injected it with a heavy groove, assbeating riffs and a big cloud of marijuana smoke. You gotta get a face and an earful from these potential murderers to really understand their mission statement. But don’t get too close, they just might cut them both off and keep them as trophies. SKROETBALG:
The men of Skroetbalg (Drents for “braggart” or “boastful”) sing in Drenthe-Neder Saxon about the things that make life worth living: beer, cars, fighting, other people’s mothers and, of course, their beloved province. Their go-yet-so punk rock winks at old and more recent rock heroes but is not afraid to break the sound barrier (and standards).
