Unlike with people, a band’s tenth anniversary does often mark maturity.
This December, traumehelikopter’s latest album, entitled: Save Yourself, was released exactly ten years after the band’s self-titled debut. The band has been competing in the rockworld for a decade. Which does not mean that all youthfulness has been beaten out, but room has been made for a slice of life experience.
The experience gained at festivals at home and abroad are in the pocket, the body of work has expanded for years and the band members are still the same. Still two guitarists and a drummer and also the ready-to-go attitude of yesteryear has not disappeared, but now they also draw inspiration from new wave and shoegaze. Perfect music for both the brutal moshpit, as for inspired listening.
