From morning coffee to late-night chaos — since 1988, De Zwarte Ruiter has been the beating heart of the Grote Markt in The Hague. You come for the coffee, the beers on the terrace, and a solid plate of food. And you stay for the music.
Always free entry. For over 30 years, bands have been playing their hearts out and sweating their guts out on our stage every weekend. From Wodan Boys to Prins S. en De Geit, from Stake to The Opposites. The stage is soaked with the sweat of Hague legends like Di-Rect, The Deaf, and Son Mieux — all of whom played their first shows right here.
