Korting didn’t “form” so much as condense—like mold on basement walls. Korting crawled out from Rotterdam with nothing but a plastic bag of riffs, burnt-out nerves, and the kind of beat that makes your pulse feel defective. Turning cheap thrills into what they call “discount punk,” but that’s just because no one’s figured out how to tax this kind of noise yet.
If The Gobs and Liquids were trapped in a service elevator with a broken light and a pack of Schutters, their soundtrack would be Korting.

Toen bij Sjerrie op z’n 42ste een invaliderende midlifecrisis werd geconstateerd, opperde de
zielenknijper van dienst twee behandeltrajecten: 1) een Harley-Davidson aanschaffen, of 2) een
teringherriebandje met twee jonge punkchicks beginnen.
Voor een Harley stak de voormalige zanger van The Jerry Hormone Ego Trip (en in een ver, grijs verleden gitarist van The Apers) helaas net iets te krap in de liquide middelen, maar met behulp van een persoonsgebonden budget werden Loena (bas) en Keet (drums) ingeschakeld voor plan B en zo zagen The ETTERS het levenslicht.
