A spontaneous percussion ensemble that highly values improvisation. Through a clever system of signals and intuition, they are able to spectacularly combine instruments and grooves from all over the world. They work with African shabars, Cuban congas, Indian tablas, to name a few. This orchestra led by the Argentine Ivan Gianakis is a must-see for every music lover!

Pat Smith in a nutshell: pro surfer, drum and bass MC, and singer.
When he can’t hit the water with his board due to an injury, he discovers writing. Writing songs. In 2001, he founded the band Splendid with friends, leading to a long and successful international career. For the past few years, he has also been performing under his own name as a solo artist. It’s worth mentioning that he was elected Night Mayor of The Hague in 2020, in part due to his contributions to the music scene. The Night Mayor has played at festivals like Lowlands, Parkpop, Sziget, and Fusion.
PRINSJESNACH SUPERSESSION BAND
PrinsjesNach 2023 will end with a bang with a super session! How could it be any different, with so much talent gathered in one city for a brand new festival. Starting at 11:00 PM, the Zwarte Ruiter on the Grote Markt will be rocking. This is where many Hague artists began their ascent. In the regular lineup, you’ll find top musicians like Jerome Hol (Hans Dulfer, Benelux’s best guitarist) and Wiboud Burkens (Chaka Khan, Leon Ware). It’s a unique opportunity where jazz and rock effortlessly merge into a swirling whole, and musicians are seen in spontaneous combinations.
