Mornin’ noon & nite
De Zwarte Ruiter has been the beating heart of the Grote Markt in The Hague since 1988. A squat bar at heart, matured into an iconic venue in downtown The Hague. Come for great coffee, sun-drenched beer drinking and good food. Stay for the music.
Free entry
Every weekend for 30 years – lockdowns aside – bands have been rocking their socks off on our stage. From The Dead South to godfather of rap Gil Scott Heron, from No Bunny to The Marcus King Band. These wooden floors are saturated with the sweat of local rock legends like Di-Rect, The Deaf and Son Mieux, who all did their first gigs at the Ruiter.
