From 1982 to 1987 (“Grandpa narrates”), Martyr was an extremely exciting Dutch metal band. Aardschok Magazine labelled them the best new metal band and the two albums released were instant patriotic metal classics. Then the band broke up and it seemed over, until a reunion was planned in 2001. Now, 22 years after the reunion, Martyr is still alive and kicking. With touring experience from all over the world (From Poland to Japan) and a hefty dose of eternally youthful swagger, this band is unstoppable.
